About company

The GISS - Global Infrastructure and Security Solutions company was founded by a retired GROM soldier - Major Andrzej Puścian in February 2012, who, as the President of the Management Board, together with a group of specialists, started implementing the idea of improving satellite communication technologies, adjusted to the user's needs. At the time of the company's establishment, a few people's business was carried out in an 80m2 office, to transform over time into an internationally recognized enterprise, with a modern, well-equipped Satellite Communications Technology Research and Development Center, employing dozens of people - scientists and experienced specialists, with a rich portfolio with a range of innovative solutions.

In the beginning, the company's activities were focused on providing ready-made ILS systems (ILS (Instrument Landing System) - a radio-based navigation system used in civil aviation to precisely assist aircraft landing in conditions of limited visibility) integrated into a pre-engineered whole and implemented into the existing infrastructure of the Polish Air Navigation Services Agency.

Then the technical area was expanded to include radar systems and network equipment. However, it quickly turned out that providing only ready-made solutions designed and manufactured by foreign companies does not fully satisfy the needs of the Polish market. Moreover, as the former Head of the Communications and Information Technology Department, the Company's president himself was well aware of and saw the inadequacies of the solutions provided. His reservations were also shared by other soldiers who once served in special units, so when the opportunity arose in 2016 to participate in a tender for the supply of a communications system for special units, a decision was made to develop a system that would meet the real needs of the end user, which was the beginning of the R&D department.
